Joplin Tornado Memorial Pictures

Six year ago, my grandmother and I were in an EF-5 tornado in Joplin, MO. It was very awful and destroyed a large portion of her city. A few nights ago, I took a walk to the memorial garden. The garden is beautiful and a lovely tribute to all of the people who lost their lives and homes.

I also found several rocks around the memorial. When I flipped them over, they said “Joplin, MO” on them. Does anyone know what these signify?
